For those who don’t know, Meredith Whitney is the Wall Street analyst who became famous for crashing the capital markets in September 2007 by pointing out how close Citigroup was to bankruptcy. (Cassandra is the figure from Greek mythology who was cursed with the ability to foresee the future but that no one would believe her predictions)
